This guide assumes you have successfully installed FlightPath, following along with the Quick Start Guide.  If you have not installed FlightPath yet, please read that guide first.

In this guide, we will create some sample courses, groups, and degree plans, so we can see how everything fits together.

To get started with some sample data, please see the Sample Data module.  The data in that module follows a similar path as what is laid out in this guide.

The Degree Plan Big Picture

You can think of a degree plan in FlightPath as being made up of 3 parts: courses, groups, and the degree plan itself.  Courses form the bases.  Groups (or, "Electives") are made up of several courses, and a degree plan is made up of both groups and courses.
