All FlightPath code is Copyright 2006 - Present by the original authors.

FlightPath is considered "open source" under the GNU General Public License (GNU GPL), 
version 3 or any later version. This covers any related files and documentation packaged with FlightPath.

This means that you may modify and redistribute part or all of FlightPath's code, but it must remain open 
source, under the GNU GPL.  You may NOT use any part of FlightPath's code in a purely commercial product 
whose source code is not also released under the GNU GPL, version 3 or any later version.

In other words, you can only copy FlightPath's code if your project is ALSO open source, 
specifically under the GNU GPL.  It cannot be proprietary or "closed source."

Note that you are not required to release your code under 
typical use (see link below for explanation), but you are required to release it under 
certain conditions
